Pages on pages
Most of the apps I've reviewed so far have come with a pleasant experience... Pages not so much. The concept is great: students can create forms that look sleek and professional while having a high amount of customization. I love the options this app has available and the guidebook was super easy to follow along. And honestly if it weren't for the picture guides I would have been completely lost too.
My issue with this app stems from controls. This. App. Is. Too. Touchy. There are a few mistakes in my example report that I tried for a good thirty minutes to resolve, however, the sensitivity of the controls caused even the slightest adjustment to send the entire thing out of wack. I'm looking at you Instant Alpha. My poor butterfly can't rest on his thistle-perch because of the holes you gave him all over his body. No matter how hard I tried to keep the outline to the outside of the butterfly Instant Alpha would make the background look like swiss cheese. So for the sake of a more pleasing look to the overall page I had to settle for an amputee butterfly.

It's safe to say I am disappointed in the app. So much potential! Students could use this for a variety of assignments. I think I would like it better if I were to trade out my iPad with a desktop with a larger screen and a mouse to help calm down the precision issues. Well, on to the next one.
Until next time! Samantha |
